Jewelry Bead

Jewelry Bead
How long does bead cement have to set before I can start making jewelry?

I glued endcaps on some memory wire, and I’m waiting for them to be dry enough to start. The tube says it takes 24 hours to set… but how long before they’re dry enough to hold any sort of load? Do I have to wait until tomorrow?

By the way, it’s Aleene’s Platinum Bond Glass & Bead glue.

I’ve never worked with bead cement before, so any and all help is appreciated! Thanks!

It should be set enough in two hours to handle. For it to cure into its maximum strength, it takes a full day.

Epoxies make great adhesives and only take a few minutes ti Be able to work with but they need a full day to ac achieve its maximum strength.

We used epoxy for many years for making jewelry. We could put in the oven to have it set faster
