Why do my jewel/crystal tone balloons go dull…?
Whenever I blow up crystal/jewel tone balloons within an hour or two they go sort of dull and cloudy….I’m assuming it’s something to do with the heat, as the process is sped up when they are put outside.
Is there anyway I can stop this from happening?
That’s a shame!
Basically means where I live it’s not worth using them (gets very hot here)
I’m sure I’ve seen them being used outside though and they still look all nice and shiny. Oh well!

The balloons go dull due to oxidization, basically the latex reacts with the oxygen in the air, it is a natural process for latex balloons. The process is sped up due to certain factors such as sunlight and heat.
It is possible to reduce or eliminate the oxidization by using a product called Balloon Shine, it is like a polish that is wiped onto the balloon. It works really well although you do need to be carefull about how you use it.
