There are a variety of different types of photo pendants that can be used to remember loved ones that have passed away and this enables consumers that have loved one’s that were buried or cremated to still have options with their photo memorial jewelry selection. Several choices are available for those looking to have a small photo of a loved one or pet inserted into the jewelry much like a typical locket. The unique part lies in the interior of the pendant which has been left hollow to accommodate a small amount of cremated ashes. The bail of the locket unscrews to reveal the interior and each photo keepsake holds a small amount of cremated ashes.
Laser Engraved Pendants
Another type of memorial jewelry provides consumers that are not comfortable with holding cremated ashes or that have loved ones that were buried in lieu of cremation the opportunity to still have a remembrance of the deceased. Laser engraved photo pendants are very popular and can be selected in either gold vermeil or sterling silver. These unique keepsakes are engraved with a photo of the consumer’s choosing and the photo can be in color, black and white or sepia. Laser engraved keepsake pendants typically do not hold any type of remembrance inside the jewelry.
Customizing a Photo Pendant
Most memorial jewelry retailers offer a number of options to personalizing a photo pendant. Engraving on the back side of the jewelry pendant is a great way to personalize a photo pendant and most pendants will typically hold at least two lines of text. Some keepsake photo pendants may also offer laser engraving on both sides of the jewelry or may be available as a keychain or a bracelet.
