How to close Air-con Outdoor unit gas valve to disconnect from indoor unit?

I need to full service/wash my Air-Con that is why I have to disconnect units i.e indoor & outdoor. But before this I need to close gas valves, but don’t know how to do this? I’ve heard that we should ON the Air-Con and then first we should close small valve and then other valve, this will stop the gas and they will be able to free. please help how to do this…

First you should have a refrigerant certificate. Once you obtain that you would need need guages to monitor the pump down. next close the high side valve and pump the unit down into itself. once the freon is all pumped into the compressor you close the lowside valve and all the freon is contained into the compressor and condenser and you can then disconnect it. Good luck. Don’t forget to get your refrigerator certification first. It is 10000.00 dollar fine and up to 5 years inprisionment if you don’t have it and do the job properly.
