Hypo Cement

Can you use gs hypo cement to seal jump rings or should I solder them closed .?

I find that sometimes the jump rings snag on things or come open and the necklace falls apart.

The hypo cement will hold the jump rings, but not anything like soldering will. Actually if you are using Fine Silver 99.9% pure, it will seal beautifully with those small kitchen/craft torches without the need of actual solder. The pure silver heats at a lower temp. than sterling .925. Just run the torch around the entire ring a few times, then go back and forth across the opening and watch for the silver to “flare”. I it doesn’t do it quickly, go back around the entire piece with torch & repeat process.
