McDonalds Freshen up their Logo
In an attempt to appear as a more eco-friendly company, McDonald’s are changing their logo across Europe. After a number of years with the classic golden arches and a red background, a number of McDonald stores across Europe will be changing to a ‘hunter green’ background.
Over the past few years, McDonald’s have faced criticism for their eco-unfriendly practices. However, to combat that, they have rolled out a series of eco-friendly practices for different stores around the world.
The logo colour change is the chage that is taking place across Europe. This change has already rolled out across a few stores within France and the United Kingdom. The country making the largest change is Germany where over 100 stores will be making the change to the green logo by this Christmas. Whether more stores in more countries will also make this change is not known.
You might wonder how such a simple change to their logo would make any difference to their green image. However, this slight change to their logo will show the public that they are making a difference within their company.
Sony Ericsson did something very similar with their logo earlier this year. Although they were only trying to freshen up the brand and not send a message, instead of creating a brand new logo, they simple created their current logo but it a variety of colours. This does show that if you have got the right logo for your business, you only need to make a small change for it to have a big effect.
There’s no reason why such a simple change like that wouldn’t work for your company. As an example, if you were a food based business, changing a few things to make a series of food logo examples you could use would give your business a fresh image. The same change could be made for any logo, whether you create clothing logo examples or church logo examples.
