What to put in in the middle of a handmade blanket to make it warmer?
I’m make a hand made & hand sewn comfortable and pillow set…one side will be fleece the other satin. What could I stuff or layer in the middle of it to make it real warm?
Fleece as in polar fleece will be warm enough.
Fleece as in a sweatshirt will not.
Batting is what is used in the center of a quilt sandwich.
Lay the top and back fabrics out flat, right sides together.
Then the batting on the top.
Stitch around the perimeter, leaving about 8″ open on one side.
Trim the fleece close to the seam and across the corners.
Turn inside out.
Stitch the opening closed.
Hand tie or stitch at 8″ intervals to hold the layers together.
