Grizzly Feathers

CAN I WASH MY HAIR WITH MY FEATHER EXTENSION ON?

I have a black and white grizzly type of feather extension that is about 6 inches long in my hair.
The feather extension isn’t long and thin like other ones, it’s big and is poofy ( espically at the top of the feather extension) It is attached to a micro crimp bead in my hair and I was wondering if I could wash my hair with it in? I know many people say yes you can do whatever to it & treat it as your own hair but, my feather extension is different. It’s all poofy at the top and gets a tad bit poofy as it goes. Like I don’t want it to be all ugly when it gets wet & not be poofy when it’s dry. Thanks for you help !!
