Gold Plaid

She Was Eager To Get A Good Job
Putting on one of her favorite shirts for girls she took it off again. Forgot my deodorant, she thought to herself. She stood in front of the air conditioner as she rolled on the deodorant. She put it back on and buttoned it up.
Pulling on her skirt as she checked the time and put on her watch at the same time. It was gold so she looked for gold earrings. The medium size hoops were a good match. She added a gold and diamond bracelet that was a favorite piece of jewelry.
Grabbing a brown suede hobo bag, she saw that it matched her suede heels and outfit perfectly. She checked her pantyhose for runs. I have to look neat and coordinated today she thought to herself.
Earlier, she had set out her women’s brown boots and saw that they looked a little shabby. She put on her shoes and noticed that it was quarter to two. Her interview was scheduled for 3:00 PM. She got in carefully to stay neat and unwrinkled. She wanted to have a neat appearance.
She sat straight and drove carefully. She had the radio on and All the single ladies blasted out of the speakers. That song always made her smile. I plan to buy a lot of CDs after I cash a paycheck, she mused.
Her passion was popular music. She was a big fan of American Idol and watched it all, even the reruns. She even took the time to vote. She knew the names of Susan Boyle over in England and Chris Doughtry who sold so many CDs after coming in second a few years ago. She even remembered William Hung.
He had signed a contract to keep the news to himself until the show aired. When he could not keep his mouth shut, his son suffered. He lost his chance to go on into the top twelve.
She parked the car and saved the ticket as she memorized the floor and location her car was left in. One time she had spent hours wandering through a parking structure. Never again she told herself and that is why she was so careful each time she parked.
She strolled into the store to remain cool and unwrinkled. She still had twenty minutes to go till her interview. He will hire me she repeated to herself as she walked. She stopped for a coke and sat quietly, gathering her thoughts. She tried to guess what the interview questions would be and thought of good answers. She wanted the job in the dress department very badly. She loved fashion and hoped her new boss would recognize what an asset she would be.
