how is grosgrain ribbon made?
I am hoping that grosgrain ribbon can be made from home. I am on a really limited budget and someone recently gave me a book on how to make hair bows for my girls with grosgrain ribbon.

I was in the exact same place you are about 6 months ago. We all want to provide the best for our girls with the little we have. Anyways, unfortunately what I have found is that the cost to make grosgrain ribbon is just crazy. The ribbons are made with very expensive weaving machines with a fairly elaborate dying process. It is not something that can just be done in the garage if you know what I mean. The best alternative to higher priced retail prices is online stores.
