What’s a container that is clear and eco-friendly that is not glass or plastic?

Something easily obtainable would be good as well. And not necessarily one-time use.
By eco-friendly I mean Sustainable. And won’t harm the environment after you throw it away (100% recyclable). Cost of producing also a factor.

There is something called PLA (polylactic acid) that is made from corn starch, a sustainable and renewable material. PLA is being used to manufacture clear cold beverage cups and clamshells. Instead of discarding them in the trash, they can be composted.
