Can you wash the cushions of a mirco fiber couch in a washing machine?

Not the actual cushions, but the velvety micro fiber fabric that zippers over the actual foam cushion. My stupid dogs had a mud party on my brand new couch and before it dries in, I figured I can wash it.

once they are cleaned and back on the cushions use a brush to restore the nap
