what kind of glue can i use?

my 3 year old daughter and i are making the alphabet out of foam sheets, i traced and cut out all the letters and we used Elmer’s glue to attach the foam letters to foam squares, now 24 hours later the letters are not staying put. what kind of glue can i use to make the foam stick to itself? here is a link to the foam sheets i am referring to, thank you, have a great day:@)

At Michaels in the glue section there is a special glue called Foam Glue. I found that it’s the best for working with foam.
