what is the easiest way to paint zebra stripes on a terra cotta flower pot?

I made my own stencil, but it does not fit the flower pot, since the pot is tapered. The top of the stencil fits, but the bottom of the stencil is too large. Does anyone have an easier way to do this? I really need help, since I am not crafty, or creative, and I can’t draw, and zebra stripes are very popular.

Paint the pot black, then tape off the “stripes” with painters tape. You can stick and peel until you like the finished appearance. When the tape is in place, paint the whole thing white. Leave it to dry a couple hours (depending on the paint) Then peel off the tape to reveal your zebra pot
