Is there anything specific that needs to happen to get the gracidea flower in Pokemon Platinum?

Do you need to get the Shaymin from Toys R Us or other specific pokemon? Is anyone else having problems getting the flower? Is anyone successful getting the Shaymin from other places before putting it into Platinum from Diamond or Pearl?
Especially does anyone know if there is a known problem?

You need to have the event Shaymin given away at Toys ‘R’ Us in your party then go to the woman in Floaroma town and she will give you the Gracidea Flower.
That’s the only way you can get it.
