Flower Girl Dresses are a special garment worn by little girls between the ages of three and eight, mainly at weddings, where the flower girls walk down the aisle ahead of the maid of honor, sprinkling flower petals or confetti in the path of the bride.

Flower Girl Dresses are frequently accompanied by a variety of matching or complementary accessories such as a tiara, a wicker basket with flowers, ribbons, headbands, bows, barrettes, veils, hair wreaths or bun wraps, gloves, and so on. These accessories can be bought separately but they may often be bought along with the dress.
Since Flower Girl Dresses will be worn on a very special occasion, it is important that it fits properly. So plan to have the gown well in advance to ensure there will be no last minute problems. Use a smooth tape for taking measurements. Take measurements of the shoulders, the chest, and the waist and from top of the shoulder to the floor. Take length measurements from the shoulder to mid-calf or up to the ankle. It is best to allow a little extra room when measuring, as it is better to have a gown be slightly larger rather than too small.
