What is the easiest way to get a flat garden hose back on its storage reel?

I have tried and tried but i am failing miserably at getting my flat hose back on its storage reel after use. It takes me ages to get the water out and even then it seems too much for the reel supplied with it. It must fit though as it came of it. Any tips from anyone?

Disconnect both ends, removing any nozzle you have. That’ll help it expel any water inside as you spin it onto the reel.
