How to Choose the Best Caribbean Cruise
Caribbean cruises are offered by a wide variety of cruise lines. It can be difficult to know what the best cruise to take is. Each cruise line tries to offer packages with unique activities to make your cruise special and memorable. It depends upon what your interests are as to what Caribbean cruise will be best for you. I would like to tell you about my favorite cruise to take? I have been on several cruises, but none have been more fun or offered more than Royal Caribbean’s Heart of the Caribbean cruise.I had so much fun for eight days and seven nights. There was so much to do and enjoy! In my opinion it is the best Caribbean cruise.
For eight fabulous and exciting days, the Heart of the Caribbean travels visiting the islands of the Caribbean beginning in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Everyday is an adventure on and off the ship.
First you dock in Oranjestad, Aruba which is located on the southern coast. “Orangetown” is the Dutch capital of this city in Aruba. The colorful Dutch colonial architecture is delightful to see. There are many scenic sights, including the California Lighthouse, that you can explore here in this city. Snorkeling is a great activity in Oranjestad.
Off the Venezuelan coast at Willemstad, Curacao is where the ship will stop next. Curacao is the largest and most populated of three “ABC Islands” (Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao).It is still rich in Dutch culture and architecture though it gained autonomy in 1954 from the Netherlands. While in Willemstad you won’t want to mess exploring the Hato Caves and underground lake. What an awesome sight it was to see this underground world. Some find the trolley-train enjoyable to take.
Philipsburg, Saint Maarten is the next stop. This island is split into the Dutch side and the French side. The Dutch side is known for its jewelry, beaches, and festive nightlife. The French side is well known for its clothing, shopping, and nude beaches. The duty-free boutiques make this island a favorite for so many shoppers. Here you can find crafts, jewelry, art, leather goods, designer clothes, and tobacco.
Saving the best for last, the final stop is in Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands. Saint Thomas was purchased by the United States and has so much to offer its visitors. Here the shopping is excellent, the dining is magnificent, and the white sandy beaches are breathtaking. While you are in Saint Thomas you do not want to miss the spectacular view of Magens Bay from the very famous Drakes Seat.
I’m sure you can see why I think this is the best Caribbean cruise to take. Along with the breathtaking places to visit you can enjoy the many onboard activities that will make this trip a memorable one for sure. Welcome aboard!
