The Perfect Romantic Valentine’s Day

There are a number of ways you can create a romantic Valentine’s Day for you and your significant other. For example, you could provide a good start to your partner’s day by taking some time to leave a message on their voice mail at work, reciting love poems or perhaps whispering other intimacies. At the very least, it can be entertaining to imagine your partner checking their messages and then trying to concentrate during that afternoon business meeting. Or you might send them a dozen roses at work, to get them in the right mood for the evening.

A Valentine’s Day full of romance can also involve just the two of you doing things together, even if the purpose isn’t explicitly romance. If you’ve been meaning to take a long drive through the snowy woods nearby, then February 14th would be a lovely day to do it. You might exchange a gift or two along the way, but just concentrating on each other’s happiness and being in each other’s company may be romantic enough. Or you could take the day off and visit that museum exhibit the two of you have been planning to see.

If you want to have a special meal, you could plan a picnic with all of your partner’s favorite dinner food. Depending on where you live, it might be a little chilly to have it outside, though you could still pick a location that’s special to the two of you. If you want to make it really something out of the ordinary, even if it’s a meal at home, you could turn it into the most romantic Valentine’s Day dinner ever, by hiring a violinist for the evening.

Of course, you very likely expect that your romantic Valentine’s Day will be crowned by a subsequent night of love. You might precede this by a session in the “spa,” being a bubble bath with candles and soft music, followed by being wrapped in warm, fluffy towels. Perhaps you might set the tone by a gift exchange of sexy lingerie. If you plan well, you can make the entire day the foreplay to sweet intimacy at the end of the day.
