Decorating With Pheasant Feathers

Few years back flowers were archetypal way to add grace to your home as well as party decoration but now pheasant feathers are becoming latest fads and coming up as bold style option. These feathers not only add beauty when augmented with floral arrangement but also add unanticipated twist with their texture and elegance. Pheasant feathers whether of male or female have their own characteristics. Male feathers are twenty inch long and give a tint of brown and red shades in them whereas female feathers are light brown and blotchy.

With these beautiful feathers we can not only decorate our home or any other venue or event but our daily use items also from grapevine wreath, centerpiece to mirror frame and other things we can think about will add beauty to our home or life. Different pheasant feathers has different decorative uses like English pheasant feather can accent very well for wedding event and centerpieces and for these pheasant tails of twelve to twenty four inches long will go along well and look pretty.

The beautiful feathers of Ring neck pheasant and Golden pheasant can be used for making craftwork, centerpieces, wreaths and many more. Even for small gathering of family or friends table centerpieces goes well and add elegance to ambience. These attractive table centerpieces can be made at home quiet easily by following simple steps which are as follow.

1)      Take a rectangular wicker tray which is narrow at bottom sit flat on table.

2)      Select three crimson pillar candles of varying heights and position them on the center of wicker tray. You can even wire the candles to the tray if you want to move the arrangement and for wiring you can use floral wire around the base of candle and can do so with the help of nose pliers.

3)      Now place some seasonal leaves on the base of the tray and cover it with leaves and wheat and glue them with the tray and take two half to one inch long blocks and place on the either side of the candles.

4)      Now place pheasant feathers along each side of the blocks and along with feathers u can also place some flowers and wheat so that it looks good.

5)      Glue all the edges of the tray and block arrangements with a red ribbon and put some leaves in case there is any gapes in the tray and with this a handmade beautiful centerpiece is ready

We can not only make centerpieces but also adorn our hairstyles, costumes and even make father masks with pheasant feathers but before these feathers are to be used they must be cleaned so that they are sterile. These feathers must be cleaned with soapy water solution in order to remove dust and debris as washing will not only eliminate dust or dirt but confiscate any bug or parasite that would eventually destroy the feather. After washing let them dry completely and brush them so that they are back in position and now they are ready to be used.
