Dressing as a fallen angel for a halloween party?

I have a black, velvet dress and some black feather wings already. But i need some ideas for make-up and hair. My hair is bright red and kinda long, i have a side fringe. What sort of make-up would look really good. Also, do fallen angels have a thorn in their eye? Thanks

It might be interesting to emphasize your red hair colour, the implication being that it’s fiery and also the association of red hair with a difficult disposition lends well to the concept of falling out of grace. As to the thorn, I think that’s more a symbolism alluding to Christ’s crown of thorns more than anything else and I’ve never heard of Fallen Angels having thorns in their eyes. Personally I think a tear might be appropriate since by all accounts fallen angels still loved God, they just disagreed with him. Much of what we associate now with Fallen Angels is extremely recent, perhaps on the orders of a few decades. Indeed the entire concept of hell barely existed in the bible and is most a creation of the middle ages. The concept of a fallen angel, Lucifer is also from the middle ages.
