does it make your eyes become redder if and when you don’t use them, than what they would have been if you never used them in the first place at all?

Clear eyes is the same as visine, right? Visine covers up red eye by causing vasoconstriction – if used a lot it can cause what is known as rebound redness. This is often worse than the eye was in the first place and is a main reason visine is not recommended by eye doctors
