Is this ok for gerbils to chew on?

I cut a little floral tissue box in half and little holes in three of the sides. They love it and sleep under it. But I saw Cinnamon chewing at the edges. I know cardboard is great for chewing… and I wouldn’t be so worried if the box wasn’t decorated. It has floral prints all over it. Would this harm my little ones?

lol have u ever had a microwave dinner or ate at mcdonalds?? the chemicals in that card board is nothing compared to the chemicals humans ingest and other animals in the wild ingest everyday. they might get dry mouth or a rash, that is if they are allergic to the die and perfume on the box but, i doubt it, since the love it soooo much. they are not completely dumb animals, they prolly licked and chewed a little piece just to see what happened, Then when they saw the box was safe they made it their toy, If they dint like it they would shove it in a corner and forget about it.
