Pretty Casual Bridesmaid Bouquets

If you are planning a casual wedding ceremony, the flowers should reflect your laid back style. Bridesmaid bouquets should be made with this in mind. These are some pretty ideas for the bridesmaid bouquets for an informal wedding.

Bold and festive colors are great for fun, laid back wedding ceremonies. A fantastic idea for the bridesmaids is to carry bouquets of gerbera daisies. Brides love them because the blossoms can be ordered in virtually any color under the sun. A nosegay of sunny yellow blossoms would be delightful for a wedding in a field. Yellow and green will be fresh and springy together. Eye-catching hues such as hot pink and tangerine are awesome for a festive, high energy wedding. Choose bridesmaid dresses and bridesmaid jewelry sets in equally bright colors to create a fabulous look with the fun bouquets.

When your wedding is casual, non-fancy flowers will strike the perfect tone. A ruffly bouquet of pink carnations tied with a white or green grosgrain ribbon is so simple, but so pretty. It would look lovely with a sundress and silver bridesmaid jewelry for a summer afternoon ceremony. Large clusters of lighter-than-air baby’s breath or Queen Anne’s Lace would be simply wonderful. A cool thing about these flowers is that they can actually be dyed in custom colors.

If you are looking for a unique and casual bridesmaid bouquet design, consider a festive cluster of tissue paper blossoms. Crepe or tissue paper blossoms are fantastic because they can be any color at all. Just think how lovely crimson and rose would be for a February 14th wedding. Or combine aqua blue, green, and hot pink for a fun look. Aqua and red blossoms are a cool combo with a vintage flavor. Making tissue or crepe paper blossoms can be a lot of fun for the crafty bride. Naturally the bride can do this project herself if the bridesmaids don’t have the time or the inclination to help out.

When your wedding is not formal, you can experiment with slightly offbeat things for the bouquets. Popular billy balls in bright yellow are another terrific casual bouquet flower. Succulents are a cool option for an eco-chic style wedding. Or take classic wedding flowers like roses and use them in a unique form, such as pomander balls on ribbons. Small posies of fresh herbs are another unique choice to consider. A grosgrain ribbon will be the perfect accent.

Naturally the style of your bridesmaid bouquets should be as informal as the overall wedding style. Remember that their charming bouquets can be reused to decorate areas around your reception. Have casual vessels like jam jars or pitchers awaiting them at the reception site. Once the ceremony ends, your attendants’ bouquets can become part of the reception decor. It is a wonderful way to reuse the ceremony blossoms.
