New Year…new Beauty Products!

We’re now approaching the end of 2010 and as such, you’re probably considering a few New Year’s Resolutions to better your body and/or mind in the coming year. Many women are obvious to the fact however, that their make up purses and beauty regimes are in need of an overhaul.

Cosmetic and beauty products which have seen better days (and their applicators) can harbour germs and therefore you should be replacing them regularly. The start of a new year is the perfect time for a beauty spring clean, especially if you stumble across a low down of brands that are going to be huge in the coming year…oh, and you have!

The Eve Lom skin care range has grown vastly ever since Vogue monickered a product of theirs as “probably the best cleanser in the world” two years ago. The collection is made up of highly effective, multi tasking skin lotions that give you a beautiful, youthful appearance.

My favourite product in the range has to be the TLC Radiance Cream (50ml) which contains the detoxifying properties of arctic raspberry and Vitamin A rich rosehip to hydrate and lift skin like no other product on the market.

Products are priced between £12.50 and £80 (for comprehensive gift sets) and are a great investment for any ladies sick of empty “better skin” promises from other well known brands.

If your skin is particularly sensitive or has special need, the botanical skin care range by Aesop may be more relevant and are priced similarly to Eve Lom’s range not to mention they smell absolutely stunning!

OPI already sell 30 million bottles of their highly regarded nail polishes worldwide every year but now they are set to blow up on the UK beauty scene. Many people including celebrities, salon professionals and magazine editors has heralded the varnish brand and their products for their long lasting and hard wearing formulas.

OPI’s secret varnish recipe ensure that nails are chip free and have a sleek finish.

Products cost between around £5 and £18. My favourite so far has to be Finishing Touches ‘Cherry’ which is a beautiful hue of deep pink-red.
