Will craft store feathers melt under a straightner?

I’ve heard you can get feather extensions at craft stores but I’m wondering if they’re waterproof and won’t melt under a straightner, curler, etc…… PLEASE HELP!

well since their for crafts and stuff i think part of the feather would be made of plastic, so it would melt. but i’m not entirely sure.
