Coral Rose

do you know a good website to identify a flowering tree?
i’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find one with pics of this tree. i’ve no idea what it is but it has beautiful, light green flowers. about the size of a rose, with a little bit of coral color at the base of the blossom. we found it in busse woods, shaumburg, il. anyone know where to look?
The plant database at Learn2grow.com includes 90,000 plants including most widely grown species of the dogwood genus, Cornus. Through the plant search function, the link below will show you all the species and varieties. Many have one to as many as five photos of each plant to give as many points of identification as possible.
Due to its location, this may be a native not generally cultivated. A second link below is to Illinois wildflowers, a site that includes some native species of Cornus well detailed and photographed to help with identification.
