Complete Magnet

how do i use a magnet to make my bicycle travel…what i am planning to do is to make a circular magnet and?

put it on the rear wheel…and the want to make a contraption..with another magnet..so that when ever it comes near to the one attached the one on the wheel starts spinning and this in turn will rotate the wheel..please help with this..its my final yr project..i will get doomed..if i dont complete this one…please guys help me on this one..
