Tips to Maximize Sales of 99 cent merchandise

If you are opening a dollar store, then the majority of your products will be 99 cent merchandise, or possibly one dollar merchandise.  Obviously, you will want to maximize your sale of these products to increase your profits.  There are numerous things that you should do to this end.  Here are a few tips.

No business can be successful if potential customers do not know that it exists.  Therefore, the first thing you should do to increase sales of 99 cent items for your business is to increase your marketing efforts. 

There are many different marketing methods that you can use.  As you should already know, some of these methods are cheaper than others.  Just make sure that you get your money’s worth when it comes to marketing.  You certainly do not want to throw your money away when it could be used for other aspects of your business.

Another way that you can increase sales of 99 cent products is to make sure the customers who do patronize your store are in there for as long as possible.  The longer people are in your store, the higher the probability they will buy more items.  
Your store should offer a friendly environment so customers feel welcome.  Your employees should greet them and certainly be kind to them.  Good customer service will go a long way towards making them repeat customers.

If you are looking to maximize sales of 99 cent merchandise, it is also a good idea to make sure your shelves are always fully stocked.  If there are any empty areas on your shelves, there will not be anything there for the customer to potentially buy.

There are areas in your store where you cannot fit long shelves.  You should spread bargain bins throughout your store to take advantage of the space you have available.  Just make sure these bins do not make it hard for your customers to navigate the store.
