What does in mean when a Police Car shines a bright White light into your car at night?
Police car shone a very bright white light into my car as I drove past him in the middle of the night. It was from his main overhead lights and not from in the car itself…
A lot of newer UK police vehicles have a new light bar fitted to the roof. On this is the standard strobe lights (blues and reds), but they now have a light fitted to the sides called an alley light. It allows the officer to illuminate the areas to the side of the vehicle via a bright LED light. I think it could be just as likely that the officer was using the lights looking for something else and that you were just caught in the beam at one point.
Nothing to worry about.
