Ladies, would you get offended at being called a valkyrie?
A valkyrie is a mythological spirit of a woman who is kind of like an angel and also a warrior. Valkyries are said to be more deadly than any man and in the afterlife, they are the best warriors.
So at the Winter Olympics, in snowboarding, some Swedish guys were referring to Kelly Clark and Torah Bright as Valkyries – meaning that they were badass.
