Bows Wedding

Would a black vest and black bow tie go with Grey dress pants for a wedding?

I bought my son Grey Slacks for a wedding but wasn’t able to find a grey vest and bow tie to match so i got black. would it match or would he look like a clown?
I know technically it would match but I dont know if anyone would pair those two together for a wedding. I dont want anyone laughing at him (or me). people can be very judgmental.
