Black Red

How do I convert red/black audio cables one end to a male plug for my subwoofer on the other?
I have a subwoofer that only hooks up with red (positive) and black (negative) audio wires. My receiver can only hook up a subwoofer with a male plug. How can I rewire the cables to make them work? Need to have one end to have red/black and the other end with the male?
Please help!
Chris is almost right…..If your sub has 2 inputs you still have to make sure you connenct the right port from the receiver to the sub. If the receiver only has 1 sub output, you need to connect that to the sub on the jack that is labeled LFE. (Low Frequency Effects) If you connect the wrong one you can damage the sub. If your sub has 1 input then it is the LFE jack. Do NOT use Y adaptors to separate or force 2 signals into 1 or vice-versa . If your sub has 2 inputs but your receiver only has 1 sub output, connect only the LFE channel. The other line is not needed and is only used if a receiver has 2 sub outs (most dont though so leave that plug alone)
