Who makes the best double edge razor blades?
I’ve got a box of 100 Derby brand blades that was about $15 to $20. They perform better than any Gillette razor I’ve tried, but I suspect there are better blades on the market.

What you’re looking for is a brand called Wilkinson Sword. This company which is actually no longer in existance as WS was bought by Pfizer and later by Energizer Holdings. They sell a disposable version of the WS razor under the Schick monacker. You’d have to dig a little but I’m sure you could find tons and tons of their original double-edged razors scattered throughout the market. They’re very popular and subsequently I think they’re still being made but not in the UK anymore…that plant was closed in something like 2000. They’re being made out of Germany now I think. Anyway, without a doubt, Wilkinson Sword is going to give you the finest shave of any double razor on the market (if you can get it).
