Baby shower themes ideas just for boys

Baby shower themes are a fun way of planning and executing a party for the future parents and their baby. The theme provides a basic skeletal model of the entire party that everything will rely on it. A theme in a baby shower is based on the host’s budget, number of guests, and sometimes the gender of the baby.

There are some themes just for boys while there are some reserved for girls. Making a party that is based on the baby’s gender provides different sets of ideas for a boy or a girl. For example, a girl’s baby shower will be all about princesses, fairies, color pink, and the like. As for boys, there are also a lot of possibilities. The world of comics and superheroes are applicable to a boy of any age and it’s no different for a baby. Since there are plenty superhero movies and TV shows, everyone will surely enjoy a superhero-themed party. This is not to say that you make your guests wear costumes or anything similar to that because that will make the party become a Halloween celebration. Start with making the invitations look like a comic strip complete with drawings and speech bubbles. Like the comics in the newspapers, leave the story hanging so that guests will be more interested to come to the party. For the decorations, you can put up favorite symbols from superheroes. Have batman’s logo in chairs or curtains and Superman’s famous insignia all over the tables and tablecloths. In the buffet table, put up speech bubbles for the menu. Since this is a baby shower, you can have cuter baby versions of superheroes. Have stuffed baby batmans and spidermans in baskets.

Another idea is to have a sports themed baby shower. With this theme, you can either use one sport or a combination of a lot of sports. The sports could be a favorite of the husband or the wife or something totally different. For the baby shower games, the sports will provide enough activities that the people can do. This doesn’t mean the guests will actually play the sport but they will play games inspired by that sport. For example, if it’s a basketball themed party, the guests can shoot a stuffed ball into a large basket. As prizes or favors, you can give medals and trophies.

If you don’t want to do a shower related to comics or sports, you can choose something related to music. A rock star baby theme might just be the theme for you and the baby. For the invites, you can design them in such a way that they will look backstage passes in a rock concert with the guest’s name printed at the front. As giveaways, you can compile a music CD with rock songs that have the word baby in them. For the album of the CD, you can provide a few family pictures for a more personalized touch.

Baby shower themes ideas are truly fun to think about and plan. For boys, you can have a party inspired by superheroes, sports, and rock music. There are more themes you can use like a pirate party or a cowboy themed version.
