If the mattress is not firm enough to provide support for your baby, you will have to buy a separate mattress for your baby.

Cribs

A crib is also a great place to put your baby to sleep as they are so comfortable and safe. The fact that a crib can be rocked or swayed from side to side is the best thing about them as this can help the baby to sleep.

One of the advantages that the crib has over the Moses basket is the fact that it can be used up to six months. The disadvantage however, is that it is more expensive and is not very portable.

Hammocks

A baby hammock is similar to any other hammock in that it is simply a sling hanging from a metal frame. Hammocks will come with a mattress and mattress cover as well as sheets and the best thing about them is that they have a rocking motion. The disadvantages of the hammock are that they are not really widely available, can only be used for a couple of months and they are quite expensive.
