When Does a Baby Start to Use Sippy Cups?

How many do you buy? When does a baby start to drink juice (and which kind) and water?

I started before 1yr. When my boy could hold a cup I gave it to him, I let him practice and get use to em. Sippy cups diappear in our house. I buy 8 then they disappear. Between Arkansas and California, grandparents here and there, and freinds, and stores, and now he tosses them out the window..ugghhh, and the the yard, the dog, its a wonder taht I can see one now:)

I always watered the juice down. My son loved apple juice but it constipates. Water em down, purified water is the best. And just experiment. My son was doin it all by the time he was 9 mo. Good luck momma
