Asst Colors
school supplies help!?

so these school supply lists have some abbreviations that i’m not familiar w/. could any1 tell me the meaning of:

1. a RED CHECK PENCIL UNCAPPED (specifically what the difference is between that and a regular red color pencil. and also, if it’s a pencil, why does it need to be uncapped?)

2. a 2″ ASST HARDBACK VINYL BINDER (mostly i want to know what the “asst” stands for and what the different is between that and a regular hardback vinyl binder.)

Thanks!

You got your answer for UNCAPPED. For the binder, I think that is just a generic definition. ASST usually means “assorted”, but the way they have that worded I wonder if it means something else. Not likely, because ASST gets put in requirements all the time, for different things. That may just be in there. Same thing with “vinyl”. It probably wouldn’t matter if it was clothe or hard cardboard, and vinyl are the only type that you can find any longer today anyway. Just go to Dollar General or Target or Walmart and get a 2″ binder. And get one extra, in case you have some extra stuff you want to save and catalog from other classes. Divider sheets will help too, but you can use the small post-it note sheets if you can’t afford the dividers. At Dollar General they are two sets of dividers for $1. Hey good luck!
