Should i get the pentax kx in one of the assorted colors?

i am getting my first dslr and i have chosen on the pentax kx. my only dillema is the color. the black looks pretty, but i would really prefer getting one of the color options (probobly the pink). my dillemas are:
i want something orriginal and unique…. that few people have—- a color may be best
i dont want to get tired of it——– black may be best
i want something i love and i dont want to regret not getting a color—- a color may be best
i’m on a budget—— i found a black for $450, but a color would cost $600

Colored cameras are very trendy but are “dated” as soon as you buy one, this years cool color is next years odd aberration. As I recall Hasselblad tried this a few yeas ago and they did not sell well at all (but are worth more today as collectibles than as working cameras).

The other nice thing is that black is the choice of pros for two reasons, people notice it less when you are working candidly (and combat photographers will shoot nothing else!) and it is also less visible as a reflection when shooting glass. And, of course the downside, a black camera labels you as a pro that should have applied for a permit before shooting in some metro areas.
