I need help on a Native American arts crafts project, help please??!?

okay my history teacher says that we have to make a mask or totem pole on a native american story you found or made up
and i decided to do like a raven, i just dont know how to make a mask, and it has to be like 3d according to her, no paper plate stuff. i dont know like where to get these supplies, and to make a totem pole, im not sure wat to do either, can i have some suggestions please!!

A thick cardboard then decorate i did that in history and did well
and cut out where the eyes are supposed to go
